Becoming Beloved Community: A bicentennial celebration with Bishop Michael Curry and Rector Emeritus Brooks Graebner.

June 21, 10-3pm.

Come to a parish celebration this summer with The Most Rev. Michael Curry, The Rev. Dr. Brooks Graebner, and The Rev. Robert Fruehwirth as they explore the history and meaning of Beloved Community in the Episcopal Church, in this diocese, and in our parish.

This celebration is part of our parish bicentennial celebrations. In 1825 the parish of St. Matthew’s was recognized by the Diocese of North Carolina as a parish, and the relationships between Bishop and Rector have always been close.

To prevent over-crowding, this event will be ticketed. To secure a ticket, up to four per person, drop by the parish office or contact Sonja by email or at 919-732-9308. Tickets will be for the whole day. The event will also be livestreamed for those without tickets on the parish Zoom Worship Channel.
