The Jane Austen and Anglicanism Seminar Series Begins this Week!

How many members of Jane Austen’s family were clergy? What was Jane Austen’s relationship with the British royal family? How was the liturgical calendar used in Jane Austen’s novels? Did Jane Austen consider her novels to be romances?

These are just some of the questions that will be answered at the Jane Austen and Anglicanism Seminar Series, beginning this Wednesday. Over tea and treats, St. Matthew’s will explore how Jane Austen’s faith was reflected in her writing through lecture, reading, and conversation.
