Sermon: The Day After the Prodigal Son Comes Home!

The prodigal son wakes up after all the love, being welcomed back at home by his merciful father. That’s great. But now what? What does it mean to live, loved and secure in the Father's House. What happens the day after the party? What does Jesus make possible for us in this life?

Just this: we get to rediscover and re-invest ourselves in our ORIGINAL PURPOSE: to tend the non-human world so that it can flourish (Images of God, stewarding creation), to be healers and reconcilers in a divided and pained humanity (images of God for one another), and to worship God in ecstasy, in surrender (images of God reflecting God back to God).
