Go Conscious Earth

Come to our adult forum on Sunday, January 28 at 9:15 to learn about Go Conscious Earth and the work being done to support their conservation of the Congo Basin Rainforest and the people who live there in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Parishioner Anne Mandeville- Long, Godi Godar- GCE’s founder- and Barbara Holloway- its executive director- will speak about their work supporting this global nonprofit group based in Chapel Hill.

Anne will be running the Umstead100 Ultramarathon, April 6-7 2024 to raise 100K for GCE!  Godi Godar, founder of GCE, has lived in Durham for 35 years and was born and raised in the remote village of Ikoko Bonginda in the Lac Tumba region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). His passion for rainforest conservation for the benefit of all beings lies at the center of GCEarth’s work.  Barbara Holloway is GCE’s executive director.   All have compelling stories to share about how they’re involved and how we can support this critical work for our planet and its people.
