Join the Youth Group!
This Sunday, October 13th, will be our “first normal” youth group session of the year, so I wanted to take an opportunity to reintroduce this program and invite anyone who may be interested, to join us.
The purpose of our youth program is to create a safe space for all to wonder, question, and learn about their faith, while processing and discussing our daily lives. This year we are grounding our program in “The Way of Love,” which is a process developed by the Episcopal Church. It provides tenants to guide a life following Jesus’ teachings. They will be used regularly in our time and work together.
This year, we are using “Racial Justice Lessons that Work” from the Episcopal Church. Each lesson has 4 components: a connection to the Baptismal Covenant, Bible study, an activity, and a conclusion tied to “The Way of Love.” These lessons will help us prepare, learn, and gain the background knowledge for our Summer Pilgrimage!
During youth group, we share a meal together, play games, learn, and pray together. We hope you’ll consider having your teen join us! We meet Sunday evenings from 5pm-7pm.
