Heaven Practice Updates

Last night, St. Matthew’s showed up in a big way for the launch of Heaven Practice Housing, our joint effort with Habitat, Heaven Practice churches, other faith communities and other people committed to options for deeply affordable housing in Orange County. Thank you to everyone who was able to come and show support. And special thanks to all those who made calls to invite and include people. St. Matthew’s is committed to working with the other Heaven Practice churches to raise at least enough for one home in this visionary project and with the help of the Diocesan Proceeds matching grant of $50,00, we’re well on our way there. Stay tuned for more ways you can be involved in helping to support this project.

Meanwhile, mark your calendars for Sunday, Nov. 22, 6:00 pm when we’ll have our next Heaven Practice gathering at Hillsborough Presbyterian church. More info to come. There will be a Bible study that Wednesday before, Nov. 18th and there’s also plans in the works for a joint Heaven Practice choir to sing at this service. This is always a joyous occasion for feasting and fellowship and especially as we consider our thanksgiving for the communion in Christ that binds us together.
