Adult Forum: Agricultural & Manufacturing Economy in Orange County in the early to Mid 20th Century

Please join the continuing St. Matthew’s Bicentennial celebration as we observe and reflect on our local agricultural and manufacturing economy and its historical impact on St. Matthew’s and our wider community then and today.

Our own Peter Sandbeck, the Orange County Cultural Resources Coordinator, will present and educate us on this period during the April 26th Forum at 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall.  Peter is a recognized expert in our region’s cultural and economic history and will share his knowledge and stories of what we call home through the lens of our past.

Using dozens of historical images, he’ll walk us through the evolution of the county’s farming and industrial history from the late-19th century to the mid-20th century, covering the rapid succession of changes that transformed the landscape and had profound impacts on our society that are still felt today.

We welcome you to bring and share your remembrances and stories to the forum as well!
