Women’s Book Talk July 27, 5:00-6:30 pm

All women of the church are invited for fellowship and conversation about women, call and the Church, based on the book “The Spirit of the Lord is Upon Me: The Writings of Suzanne Hiatt,” ed by Carter Heyward and Jenine Lahaneled. Of the book, Chursh Publishing writes, “….Sue Hiatt was considered, "bishop to the women" and leader of the movement that led to the ordination of women in the Episcopal Church. Quiet, introspective, passionate, strong-minded, Sue Hiatt's road to Christian feminism began as a teenager.”

Duke intern Natalie Rushing will facilitate our discussion as we learn more about this vital chapter of our churches history and enjoy one another’s fellowship.

July 27, 5:00-6:30 pm, Cooke- Lawrence room in the Parish House.
