Introducing St. Matthew’s new Music Director

Please join me in welcoming Cliff Badgley, the new Music Director at St. Matthew’s.  Cliff will hold this position until the new Rector selects a permanent Music Director. Cliff has served as a Music Director in Episcopal Churches and other denominations.  He is enthusiastically recommended by a member of the Parish Choir, and met the choir this past Wednesday.

Please give grace amidst these transitions. I am reintroducing the Doxology to ease the transition at the presentation of the gifts, and a Sequence Hymn added where the “Gospel Acclamation” it sung. Transition is an opportunity to embrace change, and opportunity to grow as joy is revealed in something new and beautiful. Let’s all focus on the joyful noise we make to our God.
