Mawethu+ & Family have moved in!
Meet Mila, Mewethu+, LisaNoelle, & Lithemba Ncaca
It’s been an exciting couple of weeks at St. Matthew’s!
Following his arrival on July 27, Mawethu+ spent his first days settling into his office in the Parish House and getting acquainted with the clergy, staff, and vestry. This intentional “Quiet Week,” which naturally grew into nearly two weeks, provided a gentle, soft landing as he prepared to begin his ministry with us.
Yesterday, Mawethu+, LisaNoelle, Lithembe, and Mila officially moved into the rectory, which they now call home. Thanks to the thoughtful preparations of the Welcoming Committee, they were greeted with a pantry and refrigerator filled with goodies to help them settle in. It’s just one of the many ways our Parish Family has extended a warm St. Matthew’s welcome.
Many of our Parish Family had the opportunity to meet Mawethu+ during worship last Sunday in the Education Building. This Sunday, we’ll also have the joy of welcoming the entire Ncaca family to St. Matthew’s as we gather once again in our beautiful worship room. We look forward to Mawethu+’s first Sunday in the pulpit, with Miss Lizzie’s pipes ready to sing again as we begin a new season of worship together.
