Rector Search Cottage Conversations
The Rector Search Committee is holding a series of sixteen Cottage Conversations to get input from parishioners that will help them in their search for a new Rector. And they want to hear from you!!!
Please use the link below to sign up for one of the 16 dates/times available. There are also paper sign-up sheets in the Parish House.
Here's what you need to know:
We ask that each person only attend ONE conversation so as many people as possible can sign up to participate.
If less than four people are signed up for a particular date within 24 hours of it happening, someone from the Search Committee will contact those signed up for that date and help them identify another event they can attend. If no suitable date can be found, they'll make sure that your responses to the questions are collected.
The questions that will be asked at each event are below so you have the chance to consider your responses ahead of time.

What qualities do you value most in a rector?
Describe a time when you felt nurtured, cared for, or neglected as a member of this parish community.
What is a moment when you felt this church was at a high point doing God's work and fulfilling its mission?
What has been your experience of conflict and/or change in the St. Matthew’s community? How was this conflict/change addressed?
Is there anything you feel is missing from worship at St. Matthew’s (e.g., in the service offerings or liturgy)? Is there anything in our services/liturgy that feels particularly precious to you?
