Parishioner’s School Providing Food for Families during the holidays

Sarah Sandbeck, a St. Matthew’s parishioner and youth parent, works as a second grade teacher at New Hope Elementary School, 1900 New Hope Church Road, Chapel Hill, NC, 27514. The school is holding a food drive on Tuesday, December 16th to help families secure basic necessities ahead of the long winter break. The families are in need of the following items:

Milk, Eggs, Frozen chicken/turkey, Fresh vegetables, Juice, Rice, Dried beans, Pasta, Cheese

Even with this tight turnaround, anything the community can do to help will be much appreciated. Items can be brought directly to the school, delivering refrigerated or frozen items on Monday, December 15th. Non-perishable items can be delivered to the school during school hours, 1900 New Hope Church Road, Chapel Hill, NC, 27514. Parishioners also have the option to bring items to the parish house and Sarah will deliver them to school next week.
