LGBTQIA+ Ministry offers Film Viewing May 17, 2026, 2pm to 4pm

St. Matthew’s LGBTQIA+ Ministry is honoring International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia on May 17 by offering the community an opportunity to view the film 1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted Culture in the Fellowship Hall, beginning at 2pm.

The film follows the story of researchers who traced the origins of the anti-gay movement among Christians to a grave mistranslation of the Bible.  It chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen archives at Yale University which unveil a astonishing new revelations, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
